$20,000 to be awarded in 2008

This scholarship program has been put in place for WOSSA Members. If you have an individual membership, your children can apply for this competitive scholarship that will award up to $5,000 in funding for ongoing education beyond High School.

This is a competitive application program and approximately 50% of the applicants will be successful.

If your a Company or Corporate member, your employee's children can also apply. What a great benefit to make available for your employee's at very little cost. If you presently have an individual membership, you may upgrade to the Company/Corporate membership for the upcoming year by paying the difference.

First place recipient will receive $5,000, Second will receive $3,000, Third place will receive $2,000 and additional multiple grants of $1,000 will be awarded based on total applications recieved.  The first 25 eligible applicants will also recieve a $250.00 scholarship for tuition, books and related supplies. The total number of $1,000 scholarships awarded will be dependent on the mix of total applications and selected candidates with a total maximum of $20,000 to be awarded.

• Applicants must be children of WOSSA Member Company employees or individual members in good standing age 25 years or less;
• Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent or be a current undergraduate college student;
• Obtain 2 reference letters from unrelated persons;
• Complete and submit the application form;
• Complete an essay with the application explaining your future goals, how you are working to achieve them and what your future plans are. Mail the package to Scholarships America, our scholarship administrator by June 01,2008 for your request to be considered in this next round of scholarships granted.
