WOSSA is excited about our 12th Annual Conference “In the Trenches” being held at the Vancouver, WA Hilton Convention Center.
This conference is for Designers, Regulators, Installers, Professional Engineers and Operations and Maintenance/Pumping Professionals.
Our individual learning track format has been so successful and received such positive feedback, the educational portion of the conference will be held in the same way for 2008. Starting on Friday morning, we will have a general session and introduction. You will then be able to break out into one of three learning tracks: Design, Installation or Operations & Maintenance. We will gather together for the afternoon session for about an hour, and then it's off for the evening for exhibitor viewing, and then our annual Dinner and Scholarship Auction program.

We are pleased to have Patrick Lucy of Aqua-Tex Scientific Consulting Ltd as our keynote speaker on day one. Mr. Lucy was the keynote speaker at the NOWRA International Conference recently in Baltimore and will speak on Integrated Water Management Approaches in Decentralized wastewater applications.
This year we have a great schedule of education with Dr. Jim Converse doing the A-Z course for pumpers and operations and maintenance along with Dr. Bruce Lesikar putting on a full two day program specifically for Installers. Additional speakers include, Bill Stuth Sr, a regulatory forum on Washington and Oregon led by PE- Bob Sweeney, along with DOH and DEQ rep's from both WA and Oregon, Rodney Ruskin on Drip design/install issues.
Our General sessions will include "keynote" speakers, Wm. Patrick Lucey, Aqua-Tex Scientific Consulting Ltd. on day one, speaking on "Integrated Wastewater Management" and a project being proposed in Victoria, BC. Mr. Lucy was the keynote speaker at the NOWRA International Wastewater Conference in Baltimore. On day 2, our keynote speaker will be Sage Linn, a Washington attorney that specializes in construction contract management.
In addition, we will have our annual exhibitor cocktail hour, our annual education auction and dinner on Friday night and Equipment Rodeo and Raffle prizes on Saturday.
