Washington Onsite Sewage Association Member Scholarship Program
In 2005, WOSSA began a Scholarship program put in place by the WOSSA Board specifically for members of the Association. Children of employees of a WOSSA Member Company or of individual members can apply for funding towards their higher education. This program has provided important financial support to more than 50 member families, by providing scholarships to their children towards their continuing education.
The WOSSA Scholarship Program has enjoyed great success in years past and this year was no different. This year’s 17th Annual Conference Scholarship Auction and Raffle will add more than $31,000 to the Scholarship Program. Because of businesses and individuals like you, our program has delivered nearly $100,000 in scholarship grants since inception.
We are proud to mention, that 100% of the proceeds from the auction items purchased directly support the WOSSA Scholarship program. Your commitment to helping our member families and their children is sincerely appreciated.
We do understand everyone is being impacted by today's tough economic conditions. However, this is also making it more difficult for our member families to meet those needs without help from people like you. The goal of the WOSSA Annual Scholarship program is to continue to make a difference in our member families by providing important financial support towards scholarships for their children towards continuing education. With the help of donations from supporters such as you, we will be able to continue supporting our Annual Scholarship Program.

2011 WOSSA Member Scholarship Program Recipients (Top Three Awards)
James Rae who lives in Randle, WA was our first place winner and received $3,000 of the $10,000 that was awarded in 2011 for his costs attending Central Washington University in Ellensburg,
Nicholas Tower from Leavenworth, WA received $2,000 in 2011 to help cover his costs at Western Washington University, in Bellingham, WA.
David Ashe, who also lives in Randle received $1,000 and is attending Green River Community College in Auburn, WA.
WOSSA Member Referral Scholarship Funding Project
… and now, WOSSA has developed a new scholarship funding mechanism for the Washington On-Site Sewage Association Member Scholarship Program. This new program would be in addition to our current annual scholarship benefit auction, our singular event currently used for funding the scholarship program. WOSSA members are offering their time and services to a customer, referred to WOSSA by a member, who needs septic system repairs or a system installation, in return for a donation toward the WOSSA Member Scholarship Program.
This program gives our members the opportunity to refer a customer needing septic system repairs or a system installation to the association. Along with the referring member, our member volunteers are available to donate time and materials toward the selected project. Your customer would receive the work at a discounted cost, without overhead and profit expenses. In return the customer would make a donation to the WOSSA Member Scholarship Program for the proposed cost of the system.
We are proud to mention, that 100% of the proceeds received for this program directly support the WOSSA Scholarship program. Your commitment to helping our member families and their children is sincerely appreciated.
