How well do you think you know the people you work with? We’ll find out during
The Co-Workers’ Challenge.
The Co-Workers’ Challenge is hilarious, quick paced, unique corporate entertainment that combines stand-up comedy with a little bit of “Newlywed Game” and a little bit of the “Match Game.” It’s a great corporate icebreaker that motivates employees and promotes teamwork. The Co-Workers’ Challenge is also a great escape from the stressful world of business. It’s funny, clean, and wildly entertaining. This corporate comedy entertainment show combines stand-up comedy, improvisation, motivation, and crowd participation. Hosted by Scotty Gunther, an award-winning comedian, author, speaker, syndicated radio personality, and the 2008 and 2009 GIGMASTER’s Rising Star award-winner for top emcee in North America.

The members of the 2012 Washington On-Site Sewage Association Board would like to express our sincere thank you to each of you who attended the WOSSA 16th Annual Conference recently held in Yakima. From initial feedback, the Conference was another great success! WOSSA welcomed more than 275 industry professionals to the conference – that number includes professional attendees, knowledgeable speakers, and exhibitors dedicated to supporting WOSSA and our industry. Your attendance and participation were the reason this was such a successful and rewarding conference.
WOSSA has long served as the professional on-site wastewater Association throughout the state of Washington. Because of your support and willing participation, the WOSSA Conference has become a premier event in the State of Washington, well attended by on-site professionals from all over the State, as well as exhibitors from throughout the United States and Canada.
Not only did the Conference provide for excellent educational and informational opportunities, but was host to several exciting events. These events were not only open to the conference attendees, but also their significant others. Helping to make the conference enjoyable and in many cases memorable, for all who attended.
WOSSA Conference Women (and Bobb) Conference Wine Tour
The 3rd Annual WOSSA Wine Tour was a resounding success! We were fortunate to reconnect with friends from wine tours past and meet some new friends as well. We ventured 45 minutes south east of Yakima to Vintners Village in the town of Prosser. There are 12 wineries and tasting rooms within the Village. Unfortunately we could not visit them all. We were fortunate enough to start our tour at Apex Winery. The wine maker held a private class for our dozen, with highlights being the Pinot Gris and the Chocolate Shop Wine! Our next stop was lunch at Wine O’Clock and the Burnell Family Winery. We all enjoyed the fabulous specialty pizzas including our favorite, The Pear and Bacon Pizza! The wine was a big hit here as well with one of the favorites being the Fete Red Blend. Thurston Wolfe Winery greeted our group with a friendly wine dog. He walked amongst us as we sipped more of Vintners Village’s treats. Milbrandt Cellars had a tasting bar we could all “belly up” to along with a great gift shop where we purchased many more fun wine trinkets. The Milbrandt Syrah was very smooth, and unfortunately it is now just a memory and our bottles have been drunk! Our last stop in Vintner’s Village was at Coyote Canyon Winery. Our private tour gave us an inside look at all the steps of the wine making process. Our host treated us to drinks straight from the barrel where we could taste the process as well. We all loved Coyote Canyon, especially their Albarino wine.
We were sad to see Vintner’s Village in the rear view mirror, but we had a great time on the bus ride back to Yakima. A few bottles were opened to “test” our purchases. Thank you “Bus Bob” for the testing bottles! We also had some fun giveaways on our ride back…wine glasses, bottle stoppers, wine tags etc. Our tour ended but the fun continued that evening at the Scholarship Auction.
During our tour, this group worked together to purchase different items from each winery we visited with the goal of creating a wine basket for the scholarship auction. With the generosity of this group and Coyote Canyon Winery, we were able to put together 3 beautiful wine baskets that sold at the auction that night for $300.00 each!
WOSSA Conference Roe-D-Hoe
Nearly everyone attending this year's Conference was able to witness WOSSA’s “X-games event,” the Roe-D-Hoe. This year's Class Scheduling allowed all those in attendance to participate or view this exciting machine operator skills competition. A thanks goes out to A Advanced for organizing the event, and to NC Machinery for providing the necessary equipment to hold the event. This year's overall winners proved to be fierce competitors, and are as follows:
First Place: Rick Kamstra
Second Place: James Stenersen
Third Place: Andrew Gunia
